The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 虽然电影中对我国不太友善，部分情节也过于浮夸（车内上大号的Ken，100年前的信件故事，停车道跳舞的JoJo。。。），但对于人生的反抗和人性的适从还是很有看头的，尤其是最后40年的审判化为11月的戏剧化转变：
还是很喜欢这个古怪的画风，动画版比真人版做得精致很多，无论是场景、建筑、人物和美国风土人情都有生动鲜活的展示，只不过从画风和幽默上都很非主流。特别是适合生活中一些样貌平平、个性孤僻、与众不同的人，让他们学会接受自己的另类，也提醒其他人尊重个体的差异和不同。这集更开启美国公路之旅，横穿美国多个景点和城市，一路上又遇到更多怪人怪事。
整体来说还不错，爆米花电影，思路比较新颖。
