The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 何止是流浪，在都市里独居，举目无亲的孤独感在钢铁丛林里蔓延，每到深夜都想尝试放纵自己，用感官的刺激来弥合精神上的空虚。
这是不是首部关注这类不得不上路的边缘人的电影？
Stunningly beautiful
克制的流浪长诗，既不过分悲戚又不过度赞美，对失去和放下的探讨其实和《蓝》的自由母题接近。略有遗憾的是未能把时代背景下个人精神的强迫流浪表现更充分。换句话说，所谓"自由"也不是纯粹的个人选择更是对后工业资本主义的拒斥与背叛，能更有现实批判力度。但一个中国籍导演能拍出如此美国的作品，还有麦姨的演技，真的厉害
联想到阿克曼的《安娜的旅程》。区别在于阿克曼风格化的镜头语言下是非常现实主义的片子，而赵婷现实主义外表下的镜头和情节是非常浪漫主义，甚至带有乌托邦色彩的。It’s not a bad thing. I like this film and hope I can practice this kind of life myself one day.

弗恩从内华达出发到亚利桑那、犹他州再到加州，这也是我们当年走的美西grand circle大环线的路线。估计是赵婷男友的设备经费有限，美西的辽阔壮美在我看来是没有拍出来的。尤其到结尾在加州一号公路，阴沉的天，弗恩微笑的面对大风大浪的海岸，这寓意很赞。但一号公路真不是这样阴暗丑陋的，那是加州的精华

一个孤独女人的史诗，导演拍摄的风平浪静，科恩嫂却演绎出了情绪下的暗潮涌动。电影克制的恰到好处，是一部相当成熟的作品。
献给不得不上路的人，脑子里是John Ford，属于这个世纪的“愤怒的葡萄”，虽然“愤怒”几乎消失。
他们是一直在路上的，在这一路上，身边的挚友逐渐去世、离开定居，最后慢慢只剩下一人，带着回忆与孤独。
