The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 出乎意料的好，很有质感，又不啰嗦，没有驱魔类型片那种剧情推进铺垫无聊感。反向驱魔，应该叫《驱神人》

其实很讽刺，人只是需要一个信仰，信仰也只是需要信众，不管这个信仰是上帝还是撒旦。
当然缺点也很明显，驱魔过程过于朴素，以为刚开始其实已经快结束了，不过看结尾后续故事还有很多可拍（可作为驱魔人剧集前传来看）
当你以为所谓桥段都非常老套之际，居然出现了反向驱神！让我震惊在于编剧的巧妙！所有驱魔题材都是牧师驱赶恶魔，唯独这个恶魔驱赶神灵，相近的祷告，相近的仪式，唯独不同就是恶魔赢了
反向驱魔的场景不错。这种善恶大战无论是哪一方赢都觉得俗。而结局反而是以男主与恶魔达成交易为起点展开一个善恶大战的开始倒是挺有巧思的。但是这个也不太好，就感觉有点像美剧没完没了了一样。还有一点挺逗的，曾经被上帝附身的圣人男主变成恶，而被巴尔班附身的男主女儿变成了被天使附身的善。挺有意思
还可以，看过挺多驱魔的电影和美剧，这个内容还算挺新颖，神与魔只隔了一个信念，转瞬即可变换，全篇充斥着圣经内信仰与典故……最后神父变成了魔鬼，而之前的魔鬼变成了上帝的使者……
墨西哥电影，一部非常邪典的驱魔，整部电影十分流畅，而且惊悚场景不少，尤其是传导的意思跟普通驱魔片有很大不同，值得一看，7分。
明显味道很浓，编的不落俗套。完全可以一看，属于合格以上的恐怖片了

没有什么新意，带有一点点软色情，低于驱魔片平均水准，不要浪费时间...
恶魔驱神，听上去挺有意思，但拍出来却差强人意，只是把一个老派且过时的内容颠倒了一下主被动，最后结局也不过是老生常谈。在宗教驱魔已经不吃香，甚至“坏神父”都已经过时的时代，还在披着传教外衣偷偷摸摸黑宗教，这反应是不是有点太慢了。。。。人家十多年前讲的笑话他今天才哈哈哈，说我也讲个类似的，结果还不好笑。
强奸再次得到了美化：“我一直都喜欢你”，“这是发生在我身上最好的事”。
好久没看这种纯磕CP的糖水片了，果然势均力敌、性张力强的CP最好磕。
前半部分是有在创新的，看得出来导演想走出套路化。但是后半部分的台词有比较大的问题，不断地在重复和反复，给我看困了
驱魔和反驱魔。
近几年来拍的算很有创意的片子了。恶魔和牧师对着驱魔笑死我了
所以说最后那个交易其实是神魔双方互换了下身体？
开头还好，后边简直是喜剧，evil 附身表演太浮夸了把，头都笑掉了。上帝就这么被驱逐了？？为什么附身女儿了呢？
