当精英派、嬉皮士、保守派甚至于极端分子成为政府（体制）对面的联合被告，这已经近乎于对统治/管理者的死刑审判，何况还有前政府高官的反水，无论是作为历史事件的再教育，还是电影对社会现实的反射，索金的本子和技术都无可挑剔，而作为一种正义以及对「迫害」的警惕都是无关政治站队，正如「七君子」并非是一种同盟，而是基于对邪恶的反抗。

海登领导的学院学生“温和派”和“一群磕药的嬉皮士”的“激进派”，再加上几个“热心的中产阶级”就能阻止越南战争？阻止越南战争继续下去的是“胡志明小道”和陈庚为首的顾问团。美国政府发现这是个无底洞，及时止损才撤走的。
剧作非常好。美国历史上的六四，然而人家却可以拍得这么复杂深刻！
我没想到我找了这么个政治正确的音乐剧😅😅😅😅
七年前写过这片的新闻，索金从08年就开始写这个剧本，最早是准备给斯皮尔伯格拍，连着换了三个大导演都没成，最后索金才决定亲自上阵。一直拖延到今年大选前夕，刚好也有了新的时代意义。影片没太展现异皮士的疯狂行为艺术，几乎把全部篇幅都放在他最擅长的文戏台词上，机关枪般密集扫射。“道不同但方向相同”，"If our blood is gonna flow, let it flow all over the city“，“你是否想和平推翻政府？我们每四年都在这么做”，“比起政府对我的蔑视，我对它的蔑视不值得一提”，"All world is watching!" 结案陈词读4752个名字好燃
他们没有审查吗？
不如索金的前几部剧本但是依然有巧思，很应景。但正本清源，政治高压下或激进抗议或改变体制，最终或影响时代的走向，抑或成为时代的注脚，淹没在洪流中，仅剩名字。
司法独立的国家，才能看到一些光辉。。。
在很多方面点到为止，种族歧视、检控官的不情愿、政治斗争、善意的冲动…剧作能把这所有紧张又抓人地交织在一起，最基本的原因是现实足够魔幻。看得令人汗颜，哎！
导演（也是编剧）再一次展示了深厚的台词功底

同样是游行示威与警察发生冲突的庭审题材，同样是流媒体出品，本片和Steve McQueen的Mangrove比起来简直是云泥之别。且不谈两人在剪辑与对演员的调度上的差距，索金所一向擅长的理想主义鸡血、子弹般的金句到了本片也变成了无休无止的口号与exposition，对人物的塑造也相当表面
因为我们内心其实都已经站好边了，让原本该紧张的法庭戏观感大打折扣，况且也没有啥戏剧性的转折出现，所以内心毫无波澜的看完了。三星半吧。
编与导上的掌控力把很琐碎繁杂的长达百天的审判拍得通俗易懂，既不枯燥也不刻意煽情，更难得是从被审判者到审判者，每个人物都在有限的时间内被刻画得淋漓尽致。“Do you have contempt for your government? ” - "It's nothing compared to the contempt my government has for me.”所以，是「在“自由”地与强权对抗后仍旧感到巨大的无力」绝望，还是「连“自由”地对抗都不曾拥有」更绝望？
庭审戏并不沉闷，全程靠一种情绪（也可以说是煽动性）在撑着，可能这就是国内大多数影视公司想要的共情共鸣共振吧。
Davis 本人对索金的人物塑造持保留意见 缺点或者说窠臼还是有不少的 但让我个人兴奋的 reference 也是不少(别再吹 Eric Clapton 了 Ginger Baker 比他好到不知那里去了) 结尾的煽动性和喊话够直接 —— The Whole World Is Watching 但同时也要看到：Of course, there are very decent police officers in every state but the systemic racism in the police department just can’t be denied. 好歹是本方队友加一分鼓励吧 希望索金还是意识一下自己太白了的缺点 这种白化简直是可怜了的骑墙感
我们不可以抗争任何事，不可以公开发表任何立场和言论，坚决打压到底。
“我从来没有想过我要为我的思想而受到审判”。要常常翻翻自己的旧帐烂账脏账，对着镜子照照自己那张碧莲（简称 以史为镜）。
