The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 小童星在两个角色之间的切换十分精妙，完美掌握恐怖与文静两个极端值的形容词。这是部怪诞内涵的成长故事，有点暗黑童话故事的味道，对于扭曲亲情上的描述更是恰如其分，家中每一位成员都特别写实却又如此畸形，逆转结局更是意味深长，且讽刺力道满满
压力很大，有个这样的妈。故事有点像那个杂交生物
影片的氛围营造得还可以，温柔滤镜里的诡异。

有一点点像黑天鹅，toxic的母女关系，完美主义控制狂母亲，女孩的青春期性启蒙性压抑……
有点少女版黑天鹅的意思，完美主义虎妈逼疯小姑娘也逼疯了自己，怪物既是女儿的黑暗面也是妈妈，各种明喻暗喻不要太好理解，“你和你妈妈长得很像”，“它很像谭雅但不是她”，还有抚摸女儿脑袋的手法，和那黑爪子一模一样
抛开电影质量不说，至少和孩子同时接受了一顿教育。
