The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 又长又臭，实在没办法接受这么长的前奏。。。而且故事里面的鬼怪也太弱了，面对高科技被克的死死的。
一定要看过原版才感觉到无所不在的致敬细节，豆瓣评论一眼就看得出。非常成功的纯血统续集
被轻松欢乐的风格一下子就吸引了眼球!阻隔人际交往的根本不是贫富的差距，当思想碰撞产生火花的时候，友谊接踵而来。这一群好朋友真的是羡慕不来的，无论在聚会上怎么出丑搞砸各种期待的场合，一整个不抛弃不嫌弃，有一帮真心劝解你又不逼迫你的朋友真的太舒服了。
这部前半部分其实很有趣，观众随着一家人来到老旧的鬼屋开始新的冒险，发现很多未知的秘密和危险，铺垫了不错的悬疑氛围，但后来开始捉鬼就各种特效轰炸。不过总体来说因角色都是爱讲冷笑话的怪人，也有很多笑点，棉花糖宝宝（marshmallow man） 非常可爱，又能卖一波玩具。古灵精怪的Mckenna Grace 长大了，而且还那么漂亮机灵；Finn相比之下存在感不太强，反倒是韩裔小演员Logan Kim出演的亚裔小男孩特别抢戏，戏份也更多，每次出场都带来笑料。Paul Rudd反而有点被浪费，只是个打岔的喜剧咖，除了泡妞没干啥有用的事。影片里有很多对原版的致敬，主要打情怀牌和亲情牌。

怀念童年的儿童电影，如今40岁的我看到那些老家伙的时候还是有点感动的，希望现在的孩子看了这部依然能有幸福感。
科学小怪人菲比竟然是坏种里那个小妖孽，太酷了。莫瑞和异形之母的彩蛋很惊喜，呵呵。
拍的实在太难看了，明明有情怀、有彩蛋、有老演员回归、小演员们也演技在线，所有能炒出一道美味佳肴的材料都准备好了，可最后却炒出了一坨雪特。
旁白串联的电影总不太妙，不过各色主角们共通的那点不安自卑，很是共鸣。
对奥斯汀作品的一次还算有趣的改编，将泛美同志生态圈的现状、阶层差异和共同憧憬用比较轻松的方式展现，不乏让人会心一笑的桥段，但整体观感更像情景喜剧的组合，浪漫甜度爆满杰克苏式的童话外衣并不能掩盖其内核情感的肤浅和空洞。
比尔·默瑞出现时，眼泪差不点没下来！他已经72了……
越知道电影背后的故事，越发现这电影的糟糕。
没看过前作，只看续集有很多设定不清楚。但因为有麦肯齐妹妹全片都好看了很多，一开始看这个造型还没认出来是麦肯齐，只觉得小姑娘好可爱(//∇//)。
6.0分，麦肯纳格瑞丝还是一如既往的可爱，太有观众缘了，其他都中规中矩，最后的收怪方式不错。
即使麦肯娜格瑞丝饰演的nerdy萝莉很可爱，几个孩子做主演还是令本片变成了儿童片，前戏漫长，特效幼稚，加上好几个贼冷贼冷的冷笑话，在老版敢死队出现之前都冗长乏味。比尔莫瑞等人出现时倒是让人为之一振，不过咱也没有80年代北美老观众的情怀，几秒钟过去以后感觉也就那样，还没有看一期《王牌对王牌》感动。
就非常非常无聊，更适合小孩子看吧，但又弄得很科学，可能得中关村三小的同学们才get到。。。主角们颜值都很高但可能得罪了化妆师，全扬短避长了

虽然2021版称得上是老版两部曲的第三部，但也只是对老版换汤不换药的简单延续，绝大部分戏份是老版角色的孙辈后代，老版觉得只是在片尾高潮戏时才露面，戏份很少，几乎是打酱油。老版四人组中的一个白人队员由于演员早在2004已经离世，所以2021版采取了CG重现的方式让老版四人组重新团聚，卖了把情怀。
