The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 正如三个火枪手有四人一样，芝加哥七君子有八位，黑人doesn't count。白左小雀斑果然靠不住！
剪辑营造了叙事氛围，但为此也牺牲了流畅性，整体是种凌乱的观感。故事本身很值得记录，电影拍的精彩但套路，很"聚焦"，是冲着奥斯卡去的了。

一看就是花时间打磨的剧本，反观国内导演将中国近现代史最重要的战争花三个月拍出来，实在是个笑话。60年代counterculture一直是我认为美国现代史最有趣最重要最多元的一块，其中各种形式的公众演讲是这个年代表达意识形态最重要的形式，索金walk and talk的编剧习惯的确适合这个题材。
so touching
艾伦索金是属于能用剧本影响到影像风格的那种编剧，连着看《乔布斯》和这一部感受就会非常明显。我以前觉得他的剧本很适合用来学习写台词，尤其是台词上下句的对称和衔接，那种语感和节奏真的绝了，但英文和中文语感本身不太一样，行业大环境也不同，渐渐觉得不是很适用，大部分人做不到他那么精准，而且注意力放在台词设计上之后，戏会不自觉为台词服务，就本末倒置了。这部索金自己做导演，不功不过，但在对剧本的完成度上想必他自己应该是很满意的
没有感触，也没有震撼，可能是有人别有用心，评高分数吧。

精致的剧本是本片最大看点。面对一场长达五个月、复杂且琐碎的庭审，要在俩小时里编织成一个戏剧实在不易，但索金完全做到了，把庭审、庭外和前情三条线做了不落窠臼的精妙穿插，好几场平行剪辑戏的台词写得漂亮极了！编剧还有意弱化了最容易调动观众情绪的暴动戏，有意略去了当年请金斯伯格等名人出庭作证的噱头。可惜索金的导演功力还是欠火候，否则这片就是又一部精彩绝伦的《社交网络》！
真实事件改编，十周年的时候当着全村人表演个专场也太感人了吧，美式主旋律的正确用法。演员们一人分饰乘客和岛民，很考验基本功和调度了。
