The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 比起Eliza Hittman更加自然主义，或许deep focus+wide scale才是自然主义电影的最佳选择！前面的配乐有点索然无味，只有最后几次主题性音乐是打动我的，因为如同赵婷以往的叙事风格一样——最后我们才明白人物的困境从何而来，而这段旅行究竟在解决什么——在故事结尾那克制涌动的情绪才尽显波浪。比骑士更弱情节，也更深沉，从关乎小我上升到大生命之情怀，如何面对孤独，死亡，路上的人和将行的路，以及保有那份如美国拓荒者一样的勇敢。

绝美的地理环境加上一个人的旅程更契合了影片的基调。当弗恩身处荒野，点燃手中的烟火棒，又或者是她裸身步入山间湖泊，对自然赤诚相见之时，那种孤独、漂泊和冒险也就完全褪去了其戏剧性的刺激，转而化做了一种纯粹而浪漫的美国梦“自由”时刻。
赵婷身兼数职的确保证了个人表达的一致性，但也因此而失去了更好的可能，至少在剪辑方面是有一些可以改善的地方的。

对话写得太好了，几个配角的对白都令人落泪。个体叙事高于一切。
