The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 观感奇怪但好在不无聊，前一秒意料之中后一秒马上意料之外。餐桌喂食那场戏以为要致敬《爱》了，结果画风陡转，果然这里是中国！女主和男友像走错片场。据说同场有人看哭了，我也想哭，比死亡更可怕的是看护病人。

几度落泪，总是在不经意间。片子叙事平缓，不急不躁，具有抚慰人心的力量。人生，确如片名所言，来处是归途，寻觅人间酸辣苦甜咸而来，事了拂身去，如那春来秋去风，也当洒脱。
3.5平遥这届观众这么严格这么挑剔吗？有很多瑕疵，也有很多不足，但能看出来导演的真诚，也能看出来导演想突破这类题材限制
长镜头还是有一定野心，就是太青涩了，台词生硬，演技堪忧。中间一段长镜头跨越了两次时空转换，这样的设计在华语电影中算是一股清流，最后超现实的手法更是一种话语，即是女主压抑生活的解放，也是对老爷子解脱的超度。戏曲的运用就是点了一下，没有深入融合电影所表达的理念之中，点到为止，导致了有点杂糅和大杂烩的感觉。

单纯欣赏作画即可，跑酷作画太出色了。
