The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 好久没有一点点悠悠浸入一部氛围感电影里了。这样有质感的生活，这样的安居乐业，这样的精神面貌
一开始以为是后68时代的伤痕文淆，后来发现其实无关时代（哪怕导演刻意加了很多有时代气息的东西），每一个有创伤的人都可以写出自己的伤痕文淆，而深夜电台就是这些旅人们汇集的地方。白天黑夜交替，聚焦于离异妇女的家庭生活和事业，流浪少女的刻画有点加了怀旧风的《猜火车》的感觉，全片最暖的地方是四人伴着Et si je n'existais pas的配乐在家里跳舞。

熟睡的城市，流动的车辆，还有独自徘徊着的人们啊，给自己唱一曲Lullaby，再做个长久的美梦吧。

难得这样一部没有任何说教目的却将生活中的重点勾勒出来，没有波澜起伏的爱情表达却将情感世界描绘到位的电影。生活的未知，是生活的底色，“走着瞧”，或许是更理智的态度。选择前进的妈妈，选择飞翔的女儿，选择守护的儿子，选择远行的女孩，大家都用自己的方式去让别人拥有温暖，很触动人。
