The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 心领神会的暗号总是爱情必不可少的部分。喜欢电影里夜景带来的疲倦、脆弱和浪漫。虽然倒叙手法让人物显得越来越扁平和套路，但不枉是一部普通人的爱情实录。
片名真好，只是稍微想起一些，那些大同小异的发生在每个人身上的故事。拨动人心弦的瞬间是一些奇怪的支点，普通又不常见。还是会在回忆里打一束光，海边、水族馆、生日、奶油蛋糕，品味细碎的已经没办法完整拼起来的记忆。时间好像过了很久，我好像已经可以步子轻快的轻轻巧巧的转身了。
