The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 芬奇想要保护狗的行为，本质上是希望他们能在末世里守住人性的尊严，在不可信任的世界里重建信任。一行人经历着不断失去（同伴），又不断上路继续走下去的过程，因此即使最终只剩下一狗一机器人，人消失了，不过这个世界依然存有人性的善意，这也是这部电影最动人之处。
如果到最后只有机器人和狗可以信任，那才是真的世界末日吧。

人类充满了矛盾。
不在乎里面很明显的科技bug的话，片子还是蛮感人的。理论上那些bug也是可以通过其他方式改掉的，剧本上还是有些偷懒了。

汉克斯大叔卖萌扮瓦力，顽皮3PO修习扛大梁。有情物教无情人何为信任，最末之人授最初机器体验之道。汉克斯确实是个典型的原型演员，会不断重复自己的某个角色，这里的芬奇是《荒岛求生》的fedex快递员、是《诺亚》里的诺亚、《幸福终点站》里被困在jfk的无国籍难民……
