The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 两个主角从头到尾没起到什么关键作用，倒是让张伯伦给大家上了一堂政治的艺术。
故事还算流畅，帅哥好看，cp好嗑，仅此而已。

《巴比伦柏林》联名《唐顿庄园》？与其说是洗白张伯伦，不如说是借历史背景编出了一出经不起推敲的无智商间谍戏。对比《至暗时刻》，就显得很呵呵了。
德国重名地方似乎不少 电影里提到的Möhringen有谁知道是哪里吗？差点激动地以为是斯图加特的那个……
导演竟然不是gay？！
历史框架内的虚构看得人心累，毕竟不能像无耻混蛋那样把希特勒炸上天。
故事架构是在波澜壮阔的历史变局下，小人物徒劳虚无的奋斗。尽管开了视角的我们知道那场盛夏割席之后必然有更多的苦痛，但导演对于单个场景的戏剧张力把握还是很强的，比如未遂的刺杀和狂热激烈的社会氛围。但笨拙的间谍行为和情节还是非常让人出戏，尤其荞麦一跑梦回1917，文科精英就干不了别的事吗？以及女性角色还不如一个都别有，比工具还机械。显然本片意图塑造一个完整多面的张伯伦，但私以为动机铺设还是太少，比如并没有呈现绥靖能给英国争取到多少军事准备，好奇英国人会怎么评价这种史观。
7.5/10.
稍显冗长，但保罗握枪犹豫那一段确实让人心跳加速，甚至按下了暂停键缓一缓。张伯伦的选角很合适。但人物形象整体还是太过于扁平，比如张伯伦的形象似乎非常完美。
导演竟然不是gay？！
不得不说，后世评判起当时的人物来确实有种上帝视角的傲慢，但是作为身处那个时代的领导人，制定前瞻性的战略可太需要全局观和充分的信息了。还有，这几位主角真是too handsome to play historical figures。
政治是丑陋的，程序是必须的。很难说英国的文化和官僚体制是完全无效的，即是无捷径，不走极端。
