During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 有落俗套之处但也有感同身受之处，加菲自我突破歌舞片蛮成功，全片热血也悲伤，歌曲确实很普通，但导演通过一部电影纪念乔纳森已值得敬佩，致敬梦想致敬追梦者。
我愿称之为意识流音乐剧史诗杰作 在手机上看的都想站起来为LMM鼓掌 什么时候影展能大银幕看一次啊 北京要是做个音乐剧主题影展多好😭
之前不知道是音乐剧改编，没有落入纯音乐套路就算挺成功的了。故事层次分明，有几处视角交替设计还挺巧的。Sunday那段找一堆名角大合唱有点太浮夸了
旋转镜头的转场妙用：正脸—右转至右侧脸—继续右转至视线处—场景已然从现实转变为想象。/ 有些演员的演技有些生涩，那1s本不该直视镜头。
没想到和pose如此梦幻联动！对不起jonathan！我一定会去看一场现场rent的！曲子没有期待中的抓人，但还行吧… 我最喜欢的是susan天台的那场。michael和susan的演绎比招来的演员动人多了。所以superbia有演出过吗？我真得好想看“外星人和未来”的音乐剧…

才华，真是一种太残酷的东西。纽约艺术青年们的生活状态，都是同一种模式咩？那些并没有绝对的才华的人，后来又怎样了呢？可能是因为没有看过rent吧…等以后看了，不知道会不会回来改分。
又焦虑又治愈，先入为主地认为凡妮莎还是适合歌舞片。
希望大家不要给自己太多压力
A musical about making a musical
叙事是片段式的，对于不了解传记片主人公的观众会觉得混乱。用音乐串起情绪效果很好。加菲的表演其实不够深入，演唱部分倒是卖力。
LMM的音乐和灵感真的是赶上这个时代了，幸事啊，算是writer里面混的头一份了

Fear or Love…
8.2分！相当棒的音乐歌舞传记片，导演功底很棒，很难相信这是导演处女作，用画面来讲述整个故事，娓娓道来，叙事节奏相当出色，画面相当有电影感，连续且壮阔，还有多个画面的连续剪辑，同时辅以动人心弦的音乐演唱，开场的音乐剧和过去的故事两条线并行前进，相当有吸引力！
将歌舞成功嵌进了情节里，而不仅仅是停留在了简单的插入，人物情绪的展现更是非常丰满，充分把舞台的效果发挥出来，加菲的表演抓住了人物对梦想的坚持和对舞台的奉献，情绪的表达很到位，唱功也真的好。（8/10）

看到片尾那些乔纳森当年的片段 才发现加菲是真的好像他 导演为同志角色平添的颜色很闪耀 那竟是真正打动我的部分
