The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 兩條故事線都頗有意味：其一是經過兩代人的爭論，電影工業最終憑藉經濟的原由進入莊園後，給唐頓帶來的種種摩擦和改變，特別是莊園大小姐Mary為出身下層的女明星配音，令唐頓以標準的英倫腔形式在大眾文化中留聲；其二則是一樁六十年後方才顯影的現實愛情戲：老夫人意外繼承的法國南部別墅，有著迥異於唐頓的風光、天氣和建築風格，它所引發的遺產和血緣的雙重迷案，也帶來了對於唐頓代表的老上流社會的秩序和體面的惘惘威脅。在電影形式層面，兩線的交叉略顯生硬，令全片更似是兩集電視劇的拼貼；但在主題的層面，這戲裏戲外的兩條線，都意味著一種新興的大眾文化時代的到來，唐頓莊園的貴族們必須在這一“全新世代”（A New Era）的形勢中走向未來。2022年5月28日20:00於永漢電影院3號廳。

一开篇眼泪就下来了，我宣布理想国唐家屯永远是我最爱的电视剧。
后悔没去影院看，近期看的最舒服的电影了，一切都是最好的结果，包括老夫人的离去
人事来来往往，唐顿庄园依然屹立在那里。一个时代就这样落幕了。

昨晚看，忘标了。就，庸俗的极致，但这次比较虚浮，没了此前的底气。
