The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. This really makes me uncomfortable...mostly because of the age differences and what would count as statutory rape. ofc it's normal to like someone older or someone younger but seemingly mature, but there was little arc except for Alana finally finding out more about what she wants. Neither of them is working through any of their personal issues. They are still toxic.

同样是跑的镜头，这一部真的平平无奇，剪辑也是没什么意思，再想一想私恋失调，能看出导演真的很爱亚当桑德勒。

美国式的爱情，充满了捉摸不透的浪漫，在狂乱纷纭的薄雾里，却也始终有一条若有若无的路径，导引向最终的目的地。片名《甘草披萨》乍看之下，与内容似乎并无关联，或许影片所涉及的那个年代里的青春爱情，与甘草披萨存在某种内在共同性。
