The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 很好看也走心的类型片，完成度蛮高的，视听上一点不马虎，虽然剧本明显有一个套路，但拍的确实牵动人心，主要是节奏掌控很不错。这个剧本底子总想起《热天午后》，最后结尾想起《虎豹小霸王》。
纯从教室跳下去的场面，果然不管是剧还是电影都很有冲击性…
影片场景设置有一定特点，整个剧情的发展设置在一个银行圆形大厅里，类似就像设置了一个舞台，剧情的推进也基本以舞台剧的方式，围绕着这个中心的场景发展。

看了本片再对比真实事件，这位编剧的水平是真厉害。黑人男主演和白人谈判专家演得都好。4星水平。北电的导演和编剧专业学生和老师应该观摩此片。冷门佳片，居然在豆瓣这么低的分。
南非真实历史值得了解，但是这个拍的就是有点老套了。
为了体现国家机器的愚蠢无能，导演让突击队发动了自杀冲锋。为了展现白左的伟光正，导演杀了司法部长的女儿。
