Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

就是低配版美队2，或者说是非漫威的美队2，部分动作场面，队2既视感也很强（废话了，毕竟同一导演）打戏还是精彩的，但是剧情太俗套，而且不知是节奏问题还是怎么，感觉明明2小时的电影，怎么这么漫长

好电影就是要有阐释力和表现力，《男人》都有了。女性对男性的恐惧和厌恶，终于有了个教材般的百科全书。
2.5 / 依然很喜欢那些《湮灭》式时刻，加兰依然有那种把所有无比自然真实的环境拍成虚假合成景观的能力，这也是其营造氛围的最重要方式。但除此之外，这真的只是一个概念短片……

世界很精彩，男人很危险，他们天性丑恶，彼此孕育，生生不息，死有余辜。不知道导演是在自省还是自嘲，虽然很扯淡但我大受震撼。摄影和声音好棒。
又是一部看起来全程都很刺激都很大制作但是会让人看睡着的电影，同样是反派，埃文斯在这部里的人格魅力不如《利刃出鞘》里“definitely shit”的百分之一

当个过瘾的动作片就好，不要有太高期望。高斯林的表演就像《Drive》打斗版，除了酷表情就是没表情，PS：动作设计还是不错，但片中两人全灭所有人真科幻；埃文斯只能演美国队长，实在不适合演反派，此片中的他猥亵感十足，上来就觉得他跟高斯林不是一个级别，最后的对决也让人很无语。真要好好学学韩国电影的最后决战。
一种男性视角的女权主义，女导演拍片子可能不会把女主角放到如此任人摆布而不会反抗的田地
到处都是Jason Bourne的影子，高司令也没有NWR指导下的惊艳，一具空壳。
有些失望，故事以“爱”戛然而止，有些讨巧的意味，女性主义在男权世界中的恐惧感营造得也不够，世界观几乎没有设定。
音乐画面构想演员都很喜欢。世世代代，同一个可怜又可怕的种类，生生不息，每一个人其实都背负着两个共同体的矛盾。爱这个命题的最终出现介于斧头和疲惫的眼神之间。圣坛和裂手的意象表现的很充分了。
