The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 最失望的一集。导演在严重低估观众智商的同时，把主角们一个个往杀手那边送，看得人想把导演和编剧暴揍一顿。结局前后呼应，致敬了第一集。
把老版本的主角弄个千里送人头的无脑设定很是大无语，致敬第一部的痕迹过了，过头了。
关冰箱、关门镜头的BGM欲擒故纵，是恐怖片导演的自我嘲解。“not today”权游梗玩得很灵活，哈哈。

虽然已经不记得这个系列前四部说的是啥了，这部的亮点大概是对恐怖片的自嘲！
非常直率地承认自己炒冷饭的第五部，可是要连起来看才好吧，之前的几部已经过去那么久了，谁能记得起情节。情节不够独立，跟之前的牵连有点太强了……
够血腥暴力。
女主角像爱玛，确定还是劝导吗？看预告片我就有这种感觉，看完正片更是觉得改编太魔幻。
太糟糕了，除了女主好看，风景不错，简直不知道还有哪里好...完全不忠实于原著，也没看出来想对奥斯汀做出什么超越，女主从隐忍，内心深沉变为调皮可爱的现代人，这倒没什么，但是不顾别人感受，在宴会上说出她妹夫本来先喜欢的是她，简直不可原谅，这不是奥斯汀最讨厌的那种人？怎么会是她笔下最深情的安妮？期待的台词全都删了，除了half agony half soul这句真爱担当，其他的只有eliot先生的对白最精彩，导演是最喜欢他和安妮这对cp吧，wentworth虽然是个海军，也不用被衬托成一个野蛮人吧...好久没有看某部电影想吐槽这么多...三分给女主和她与eliot调情部分的对白吧...

又名<一部烂续集引发的血案>，一时间分不清导演是想嘲讽他人还是要含泪自嘲了。从解构首作为故事切入点我还以为导演要整个大的了，结果女主就只是硬套了个第一部杀手比尔女儿的身份，然后又是一大段老掉牙的狼人杀和谜语人剧情，都2202年了喂，还整这一套呀？片尾还出字幕致敬Wes，纯属致敬了个寂寞。
刚开始真的无聊的要死 但是dakota太美了 看下去还是有意思的 很jane的感觉 好几个画面都美的不行

基于第一部，在套路与反套路之间来回切换，既有致敬，又有点新花样，角色设定也与时俱进了。对于这个系列的粉丝来说，应该挑不出太多毛病
我不理解爸爸这种赌马赌到倾家荡产的人设为什么可以洗得好像这一切都不是他的错一样
？？？我本来还以为这部会好看一点？我问号真的太多了。医院里空无一人？凶手一打四时，两个健康人就在旁边看着？凶手被枪打死了，第一反应不是去揭开真面目而是四个人一起逃走？？真的这个警长活该去死，这个镇的人都全部活该去死。这种白痴情节太侮辱人了，观众全部是傻逼吗？
7分。出乎意料竟然还行~~~比想象中好得多，要么就是我因为同时看的《德州电锯》实在太烂的关系，搞得我标准下降了~~各种自我吐槽和自我玩哏，不少小细节看得很HIGH，这编剧应该对这个系列是真的下了功夫的。而最后一群姑娘的设计也挺有近年女拳范儿的~~可惜不管前面怎么玩，最后还是要回到原本系列的设计里来，最终随便找了两个做杀手，还是挺随便的。不过整体瑕不掩瑜，能拍成这样不容易啦~~~

改编的太离谱了，美国人的政治正确到了走火入魔的地步，过犹不及。
非常惊喜。不仅在血腥度、惊悚度和娱乐性方面完美还魂Wes Craven，更成功打造一部新生代Scream——陌生来电不会在第一声被接听、Elevated Horror作为新兴概念被提及、配角多元且不再必死、Jump Scare沦为一个个假预警、网络与Fandom文化大行其道。借角色之口抛出“如何正确重启一部续作”、“如何在恐怖片中存活”的讨论，以及将前四部化作“片中片”的Meta玩法（包括旧角色/演员的回归和对前作的吐槽），达成对影片本体和恐怖类型片公式的解构、揶揄和自反。同时不乏对经典的致敬。某种程度上甚至强于Halloween重启。
