剧情介绍

The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.     4.5星。反转的不错,法庭的戏很精彩,被害的女主好漂亮,后面什么意思第二部吗。印度还真是种姓制度荼毒至深的国家都能从外貌上看出来了太可怕了。大学这事原来印度也有,人性的恶真的想通。

    半小时弃。其实不怎么样,镜头、表演本身就乏善可陈,叙事更是没头没脑,从开头的抒情到校长的讲话再到受害者向学生发表的空洞务虚的说教,再到学生们发动抗议活动,来龙去脉、矛盾冲突何在,全都交代不清。

    最后的革命万岁太燃了!尽然在印度电影里看到了希望!反转再反转再反转,印度神作绝不会让你失望,总是会感觉诚意满满!看了整部电影除了剧情非常抓人,让人赞不绝口外,仿佛用一部电影一日游浅浅了解了整个印度。

    确实很敢拍,抽丝剥茧,融合了各种深层议题与思考,有很多振聋发聩的金句,美中不足就是宝莱坞配乐依然太满,片子也拖的有点长。

    印度真的敢拍啊,这一部电影讨论的东西真的太多了,从女性到种族,从导师霸凌到强权操控,从学生游行寻求真相到媒体舆论操控真相。任何一个主题都够拍一部电影了,而本片尽管有这么多的元素却又合情合理。当然最后的结局有些理想化,还是个人英雄主义挑战强权。

    这么高分怎么打出来的?立意起的很高,探讨的点也很多,通过一起案件牵扯出来各种社会面的问题,从政府到司法到媒体到人民,自上而下自下而上,问题蛮多,也不光是印度社会的问题,应该说每个国家都有的问题。但是,揭露这些阴暗面可以,能不能不要把观众当傻子,你看看那个法官还有律师都说的是些什么业余话术?最起码的职业操守都没有?说的话连个老百姓都不如。可信度瞬间就减了大半。而且这片子啊,一直在各种自我感动,几分钟就来一组慢镜头加史诗配乐,根本不给你机会好好搞清楚整个事件的流程。人物也单薄的可怕,每一个人都是工具人,根本不能称之为人物,稍微能看的就是法庭上那段,但是也各种穿插一些非常业余的对话,所以常常出戏。后面反转也就那样吧,没有上升到什么印度电影就甩我们几条街了,至少这片子不行,完全不行。

    究其电影艺术本身并不能匹配豆瓣8.6的高分,无论从叙事、结构、表演、剪辑、推进、节奏与反转上都乏善可陈。可它赢就赢在了内容,题材的强大拯救了电影的同时也封住了几乎所有人挑剔的嘴巴(包括但不限于我)。没什么可说的,不想说也不能说什么,现实的生活可能比电影更加不堪。把两句台词送给大家共勉吧,感觉足够。「此刻你的沉默,就是他们行凶的通行证!」「在正义面前,永远没有少数服从多数的原则!」(其实能拍出这样电影的国家,挺可怕的!!!)

    印度这种时常的体量,至少有四十分钟是废话,拖沓得看着蛋疼。首先是整个悬疑的气氛,还是差口气,围绕一名女教授的死亡展开调查,背后牵扯出了各方势力。破案的过程,错综复杂的利益纠葛:这些应该是重点,而不是在法庭上的滔滔不绝。当然,最后的法庭戏,只能说是真的敢拍。对女性尊严的维护,对导师绝对权力的批判,对种姓制度的深恶痛绝,对平等、自由、正义的渴望吗,全都在那慷慨激昂的口若悬河里了。上层的丑恶嘴脸,对舆论的操控,对生命的漠视,一切不过是交易的砝码。直到,这些棋子本身的反噬。
