The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 明星吴若甫被绑架，明星刘德华用这个真实题材演了明星被绑架的《解救吾先生》，吴若甫演配角。韩国翻拍，明星黄政民演的就是黄政民被绑架，不只名字一样，角色设置也与演员本人一样，只不过韩国版把现实与电影的故事延伸融合在一起，电影里明星朴成雄又把明星黄政民被绑架的事件拍了电影，黄政民还亲自去探班。和中国版最大的不同就是韩国警察的智商永远是让观众着急的。
本来是为了人质去看了解救吾先生，现在想来这两部都没有必要让我抱有如此高的期待

原版太经典了，翻拍真的没办法超越，但是可以看到翻拍的差距，韩版大刀阔斧改动了后面的剧情和人物关系，觉得比某些号称翻拍结果和《误杀瞒天记》一个镜头都不差的翻拍好看
黄政民既然在电影里演的是自己，自己被绑架了，仿佛真实事件一般，需要的是真实感。而影片缺乏的就是真实感，电影感太重。

轻松有趣快乐的电影，把一件优惠券一件渺小的事情，扩张性的复杂化，竟然走上人生巅峰，成为白富美。喜剧可能就是这样的荒诞夸张，挺适合放松。
剧情发展没逻辑啊？飞机上念的信是干嘛的，康妮说最后一天是什么意思，最后那个竞走的人生哲理是个什么鬼，跑到黑山去继续违法犯罪又是什么鬼？？满头问号？喜剧算不上，人生哲理一大堆，这也太不搭了
没看过原著漫画，所以不知道动画版跟真人版哪个更还原，但动画版的世界设定太过风格化，显得亚当斯一家并没有那么特别，反倒是真人版中，对于旁人贴近真实的形象设计和背景设定更能衬托出亚当斯一家的另类和诡异；另外，虽然大家都很喜欢阴郁、腹黑的星期三，但情绪平稳、面容冷峻的设定让她在作主角时很难带动观众的情绪起伏，让剧情变得昏昏欲睡，还有怎么感觉拍成了女版谢耳朵呢。
没看过原版，所以拉一下分，心目中7.9没啥问题，全程紧张刺激，多次有机会逃跑，很不错，而且反派头子很牛逼，很喜欢。
紧张刺激感弱了些，警察永远都在结束之后出现也是服了，全靠人质自己斗智斗勇了。

康妮和邻居黑女闺蜜乔乔跑到印刷优惠券的墨西哥工厂，买通里面的工人和送优惠券的司机，获得大量优惠券，而后开网站兜售，赚了巨额美金500万！网店被封、账号被冻结后，找黑客删掉视频、网店等罪证，半年后账号解冻，取出现金，购买5辆兰博基尼、1车厢枪支用来洗钱，但只花去200多万，又花33万做了试管婴儿手术，剩余200多万全部存入纸箱。最后被FBI逮捕，但花钱聘请了最好的律师，最终只判了11月监禁且能保释，闺蜜只判10天，而200万现金保留完好，出狱后来了家正规公司。很完美，但这仅是艺术电影，现实的案例比这惨得多，不仅入狱、还得归还4000万的商家损失
