The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 拍这种类型的片子创作者的精神状态真的非常重要呐。如果说在《骑士》中赵婷还有马力克的痕迹，在《无依之地》中，赵婷就是赵婷。一路的自由与浩瀚，与背负的隐痛交融，每个不得已上路的人，见过多少山河，又有多少故事无人倾诉。麦克多蒙德将这一复杂形象刻画得细致入微；这是一首昔日美国开拓精神的挽歌，是对每一个上路人的告慰。

今年的NYFF有点可怜，但是Nomadland在汽车影院观影体验可能更胜于传统影院。一个无依的人，串起更多漂泊的故事。科恩嫂的克制，广袤的风景，自然的音乐，观感很舒适。对于赵婷这是又一次突破，对于公路片，似乎也没有什么新意。Drive-in观影加一星

不过台词中的说教意味有些浓，情节之间不是很连贯，导致看的时候并没有多少共鸣。
