The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 一部很有设计感的电影，将虚与实镶嵌起来呈现。一面是，一个编导去记录，生活在不同社会环境和家庭氛围中的未成年人的想法的过程；另一面是，一个叔叔和他年仅9岁的侄儿，如何从巨大的年龄差异中，摸索出共通的人生脉络的经历。
虽然可能稍显刻意和矫揉造作，但是片子拍的非常的细腻感人。叔侄之间的互动与冲突到最后的和解与互相关心。小孩子真的是让人又爱又恨啊。中间穿插的小孩的回答也很有意思。

电影将最普通的元素引领进最现代的短篇习作的容量当中 可是前后的节奏和冲突都将之把亲密连接隐藏在那份歇斯底里的说教当中 这就是导演给出的最为危险的共情
华金的角色不应由华金来演...男孩是亮点，有得奖潜力，但整体节奏差了那么几个半拍，台词亮点稀少，代入感较差，撑了将近一个小时，三星
是那种没有剧情的聊天电影。开始还觉得有些无聊，越看越喜欢，看到最后又哭又笑。这世界让人困惑，你不好也没关系。
虽然没有旁白，但片中读的那些书、做的那些访谈、录的那些环境音（所谓“使不朽”）、日记性质的自述、平添忧郁的黑白画面，都让人想起泰伦斯·马利克式的（故作）深沉。片中所有受访者都是真实出镜即兴发挥（包括一个后来被枪杀的叫布莱恩特的黑人小男孩），这倒挺适合方法派的华金·菲尼克斯。不知道这种亦幻亦真的骚操作是不是受了去年《无依之地》的启发。
但当电影结束，我却感受到了一种久违的失落感，我很久没有如此沉浸在一个故事或一个人物上了。我虽不是一个时常感到孤独的人，但这种两个灵魂的互文依旧让我感同身受。
华金老了，也胖了。但岁月的沉淀仿佛也让他洗尽铅华，而演技则更是磨练的炉火纯青。在当今的年代，不是3D，就是4K，CG技术早已天马行空。所以每一部黑白影像的电影，大约都是怀着野心的。成年人的孤寂落寞，有时候无法避免。就好像到了某种瓶颈期，想突破一下好难。更何况身子骨也不如年轻时禁折腾了。
也许没有永恒这回事，但相伴过就足够美丽。我不会忘记。

cute yes，但是你真的要蜻蜓点水cross generation的沟通和人与人之间的理解和沟通，那就是a white man and a white man to be do stuff together, 挺无聊的。
