I guess the idea behind it was for liberated women to go into a high street store and buy it without any type of guilt or inhibition , but no doubt the main buyer market was teenage boys and dirty old men
THE LOVERS GUIDE is groundbreaking in the fact that it publicised that the couples involved were real life partners but this is slightly dishonest , yes the main couple featured Wendy and her husband were indeed a real life couple who'd been married several years but there was some public controversy that at least one of the couples Kathryn ( The gorgeous brunette ) and Marino ( The well buffed geezer with a ponytail ) had never met one another until they appeared on set where they had unprotected sex for the camera . For a video that self righteously dedicates segments to safe sex it is rather hypocritical
Seeing as it's for education purposes and not pornography as such there's limits as to what can be shown but as a sex education video it's not uninformative though I doubt if you'll be gasping " I never knew that "
As a footnote the main couple featured became something of sexual problem agony aunts in the British press - Until it was revealed that Wendy's husband had a serious heart condition which put a stop to sex . I almost felt sorry for this couple who confessed that they used to make love as often as ten times a day but now couldn't make love once a day because it was too dangerous . My small amount of sympathy soon vanished when shortly afterwards the couple split up and raced off to the gutter press in order to dish the dirt on one another to the highest bidder .

这个中二的剧情实在是看得我全程黑人问号lol… 三星全给神一样的斯皮尔伯格，40多年了依然是好莱坞商业片场景调度 & 艺术指导的业界天花板，真大写的服气
我不明白为什么要拍一部白人女爱上一个极刻板印象之大成的亚男，为什么这种丑角就让亚男来演？
画面舞蹈很好，女二演的也好，男女主的人设和演技都无法理解。
先入为主加时过境迁吧，经典的唱段和舞蹈加配色倒是赏心悦目，男女主稍显单薄
男主长得太像本科一同学了
影评的视觉效果和场面调度不错。结尾略显意犹未尽。男主角诠释爱便是生命的时刻没有感动到我，眼神里的爱意缺了一点。和我一同坐在电影院的观众好像目睹过至少西区故事的舞台剧，有些观众甚至能跟着银幕一道唱。最喜欢的场景就是两个帮派准备去夜斗，the Jets和the Sharks怒气冲冲地为领地奔赴战场，此时交叉剪辑男女主也迫不及待地渴望奔赴爱的约会，浪漫与凝重交织，激烈与温情相融，这一段感觉很美妙。再次感悟，男演员的爱意不是很够。另，该剧的内核真的不是未完待续的罗密欧与朱丽叶吗。
除了几处歌舞高光场面，故事内核单薄加之主演糟糕的表演堪称灾难。
古典爱情故事太令人吃不消了，即使我带着歌舞片滤镜来看也不能忽略剧情的离谱和过时。女主的美声高音有点刺耳总让人觉得她跟其他人不在同一部剧里，Anita过于耀眼，三颗星全给街头热舞的那段高光，果不其然一看演员表竟然是汉密尔顿的ensemble，舞台剧演员跟普通演员在歌舞片里比起来真是降维打击
好久不见Nina Dobrev，真爱至上太作弊了哇
开场的长镜头很棒，场景调度还是斯皮尔伯格那个味道，后面的歌舞反倒显得有些过时和冗长，不是什么情绪都要用歌舞来表达的，男女主的人设也很不讨喜，完全可以说是全片悲剧的罪魁祸首，而他们本身却完全不觉得愧疚。虽然是莎士比亚的剧本底子，但根本不让人感觉到他们爱情的伟大和浪漫
感觉景搭的挺小的，倒有种把剧场舞台扩大了的感觉。场景调度是体现得出导演熟辣的功力的，只是这么一个画面和故事放在眼前，除了怀旧也实在砸吧不出啥别的味道来。
歌舞太棒了，布景、摄影也一流，两位主角缺少点魅力。
甜甜的爱情喜剧 致敬了Sex and the City, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Love Actually
小孩子置气一样，莫名其妙。音乐尚可。剧情算了。一群烂泥扶不上墙的东西，一帮小混混罢了
如果是新锐导演，这篇能够及格，但是史蒂芬斯皮尔伯格拿出这种作品，真的不是该有的水准！而且，过于与时俱进的肤色，更败好感！
随着情节发展至发现就是个类似Romeo & Juliet 的故事后，剩余时间眼睛看着银幕脑海却只想着羽生结弦的小罗密欧
翻拍然后做旧算什么本事，有这个budget不如给LMM拍点跟得上时代的新作品
笑点还是不少 女主身材好棒 欧阳的哥哥很抢戏
男主选角差到离谱，怪不得颁奖季没有主角奖项提名。
