The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 出乎意料的真实感，有如回忆录般的旁白勾勒出美国60年代的社会与文化，同时也细致地描绘了南部城市孩子的少年生活写照，大概是“看情商正常的young sheldon出演阿甘正传”的感觉。后面阿波罗10号半与11号的登月经历交错剪辑得非常棒，站在stan的视角这段很动人，也喜欢最后睡着了没有看到“第一步”却又什么都经历了的处理方式。给编剧兼导演鼓掌👏🏻
看的是翻译组字幕比较流畅。
