The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 手持加无人机穿梭，也许卖拷贝是玩嗨了，但我还是觉得调度加上这个蹩脚的剧情，简直是一场灾难。

就这还专业抢银行的？这好像随便从菜市场找几个人就过来抢银行来了，威尔这个人物设定太坑了，逻辑上根本说不通……

要是不拿无人机搁那炫还好，银行战斗还挺好的，后面一塌糊涂，有些地方还剪辑快速又混乱，直接开晕
太gta了，可惜了画面和风格，穿越机角度晕，故事没内容，硬凑了两小时

无意中点开，看了一个小时我就想：“这特么怎么弄得跟迈克尔贝似的？”hh
发现是翻拍，只能说拍的挺平庸。在爆炸和特技已经远远不能满足观众口味的今天迈克尔贝还在玩他那一套明显不行了，追击场景和《法国贩毒网》《生死时速》比差太多了。
爆炸贝的中成本动作新片，整体而言低于预期。动作场面足够精彩，但也就剩下各种追车爆炸值得一看了；故事上是翻拍电影，没看过原版，但花了两个多小时讲了个简单的故事，且讲的并不好；情节上也挺离谱，无论是抢劫银行的计划跟闹着玩儿似的，还是连线视频做手术，以及最后弟弟亲手开枪打死哥哥，都在不断降低故事的置信度；画面上，本可以更加纯粹，但过多的无人机俯冲拍摄的画面让人感到眩晕至极，加上晃动的毫无节制的镜头，使得观感很不舒服。PS：本片的实质内容根本撑不起这个时长，很多情节是可以剪掉的
剧情是挺紧凑，结局很扯淡。
这两年看了太多的烂片，这部算是各方面都在线的好莱坞片了。动作，特技都在线，情节简单，演绎了好莱坞版本的盗亦有道，有小瑕疵但是瑕不掩瑜，全程无尿点。
其实好久没看爆炸贝还有点想念 但这部实在晃得我头晕
悲剧降临的家庭睡一觉安稳也是奢侈，生命交换的勋章连一粒病毒也无法抵挡。镜头在城市建筑和枪火来往中漂移，义气在童年碎片和成人世界中散尽。儿时钻进遗弃的车厢亦能坚不可摧，如今躲进密封的铁皮却满是漏洞，黑白皮肤从未将亲情割裂，团圆结局却要以血色祭奠。明明是你再次将枪口对准了手足，在诀别时他却唯有对你说出抱歉。
爆炸貝的商業「大」片，大的有點hold不住。追車戲是亮點。
