The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? The end of an old age. The beginning of a new era!
6/10。看开头就知道是我不会喜欢的音乐剧片了，而且这类电影在豆瓣都是高分好神奇。喜欢同年的《身在高地》，俗人只爱看五彩斑斓的唱跳。有一场女生唱段给我口型对不上的感觉。电影与音乐剧的结合，弊大于利。
加菲确实出色!那种坚持热爱同时艰苦生活的状态很令人动容。
加菲绝对是联合国认定的阳光大男孩，感染力很强，能看出他用了一百二十分的情感在演绎。 “牢笼还是翅膀，去问飞鸟吧。是恐惧还是爱 ，别说出答案，行动远胜于言语。”这部电影是献给35岁的乔纳森最好的礼物。
噢，还有一句台词得送给我自己。
“Stop the noise, I can’t hear myself die”
加菲总是让我想到Angels in America 虽然musical可能真的不是我的genre 但还是很感人很燃
真的是满满的情怀
没想到人物弧光落在了白人男性觉醒，然后开始尊重女性和LGBT权利。就这点屁事从13年《为奴十二年》到现在了还在拍。

印象深刻的一幕是加菲拥抱女友时手指轻敲女友的后背，不要爱上艺术家，他会汲取你生命的能量和养分豢养他的作品。
这才是能淋漓呈现当下流媒优势的音像制品，尽管电影语法/结构性较弱，LMM还是为其注入了难得轻逸的律动感。两种艺术体裁的融合不止体现于即兴唱段，还有情绪和画面的巧妙对接（泳道幻化成的五线谱，经典的天台抒情段落，偌大体育场内孤独的钢琴）。喜欢用脱口秀做scene-switching point的创意，观众直到结尾才露面，是对叙事上自传式口吻的印证。很多细节固然还可以深挖，但维持在目前的水平业已令人动容。生命倒计时前的任性执着，恰到好处的鸡血和感伤。

大型音乐剧，剪辑非常棒。吵架分手的时候心里还想着怎么写成歌，太真实了。。
影片高开低走旋律亦然，故事处理着实乏味。
虽然婚礼开场葬礼结束，还是留了一个标准的新生命诞生做尾声。老太太的去世因为太顺理成章，反而比任何狗血的戏剧冲突更显悲伤。“在他们看来，女性通常是两种形象，要么邪恶，要么愚蠢，而你最好让人以为你是前者。”金句老太太最后还是变成了挂在墙上的一副肖像画。
好一般… 白男first world problems+look我有minority friends。太奇怪了 不知道是剧本有改动还是咋回事 很难想象rent的作者写出这么自怜自艾的东西…
