Carol Jeffries (known as 'Jeff') is a naive American woman staying in the Phillipines. She is given ten years in prison after being set up by her drug-dealer boyfriend, Rudy. Alongside her role as the tough-as-nails prostitute in Big Doll House were supports in the horror flick The Twilight People and as a topless hooker (again!) in Cool Breeze, then back behind bars for Women In Cages.
In Women In Cages, Grier plays the sadistic warden for once, a pot-smoking lesbian with a fully-equipped torture chamber (including a guillotine!). The 'New Fish' (a recent inmate, for you prison film novices), a ditzy blonde ex-stripper called Alabama, has taken the heroin possession rap for her pimp boyfriend. She knows too much, so the pimp blackmails her cellmates to execute her. A competent and well-shot entry in the tropical prison genre from Filipino director Gerry De Leon, it places the embittered ex-addict and prostitute Grier in the position of slave owner, watching her white charges toiling away in the plantation with obvious ironic glee.
摄影挺好，故事单薄，节奏太拖，演技不够，画外音烦人中的烦人
是以画像师为破案线的内容，和小说没有关系。最后转折的时候有点意思，但细思好像不够有逻辑。
很喜欢这种淡淡的悬疑文艺片。是一个女孩让另一个女孩重生的故事，是一个女孩为另一个女孩活着的故事。虽然是从开始不久就能让人猜到的结尾，但过程中按照破案思路推进演变的过程叙述的还是挺好的。
不够细节的悬疑，不够科学的推理，不够合理的剧情。比较好的是一些镜头的处理，以及对时代与人生的省思。
整体上不错，画面感和氛围营造地都挺好，故事娓娓道来，且反转令人意外，看得出来是认真在拍电影，望再接再厉！
怎么说呢，感觉导演编剧摄影都很努力，但就是花了两个小时讲了一个毫无悬念的故事。
呸，时代的疤是真没看出来。奇怪的漏洞好多，前半部分有一股浓烈的密室逃脱推理的味道，时代质感也是完全感受不到。但是我喜欢永远在下雨的天气，铺满台阶的落叶，以及严华跑出楼来拍照，那是一个可以闻到空气的镜头
中国版杀人回忆+悬疑版芳华+盗用片名的远山淡影
时代感应该是更加野蛮粗粝的质感，电影本身工整有余但功力不足。其中男主画像师是个不错的设定，而连环杀手的元素没有被挖掘，远山淡影的意象是离乡者与被困者共同的思愁。
这个名字的字体设计很喜欢！是不是在暗示什么。居然是根据真实改编，那就没有暗示了。。节奏有点儿慢，摄影好像行，也不是摄影，几个空镜很不错。超现实探案，一个画像直接把最难的地方不用写了，这种设定都是设定了也不好说啥。。略傻逼的角色好写，但是难看啊。为什么要写模版式的角色。说的就是那个警察。整个剧本好像还挺可以的，最后能成闭环。还能模糊化，让人遐想，谁是谁，谁死了。色调不错，暗黄暗黄的。 @2022-06-29 23:28:40
靠目击者聊胜于无的特征描述画成那样，还是有点不可思议
当成文艺片看还行，当成悬疑片看，破绽太多。
虽然一早就猜到剧情了，但是整体完成度还好，风景可太美了，各位女演员也美得很有辨识度，三星半
借用了石黑一雄的书名，最后模拟画像师刑警去了白银，可以拍成神探系列了。文艺风格非常独特，画面很美，逻辑基本能通，不容易了。
故事线很简单，但导演的运镜和光影效果很是文艺唯美。
以为是石黑一雄那个书改编的电影，尼玛吓死我了！！！！又要好几个晚上睡不着了，开头的松鸦枯树旧纸泛黄调我就该来先搜一下豆瓣的！！！
不过镜头真的很美。
剧情能看出来狠下了番功夫，也加入了导演对文艺的追求，就是女主二人的身份互换弱逻辑，另，几个男角色不是很喜欢，值得翻拍
画面的氛围感还是有的，时不时与片名呼应，如同一幅幅优美的风景画；可是这到底是一部悬疑破案片呀，叙事节奏比较拖沓，往事的闪回和日记的画外音没有将人物塑造起来，有点无病呻吟；严华不是找到林音的尸体了吗？怎么还会被野狗拖出来呢？她后来去广州了所以被烧伤了？可是她可以跳舞啊，还有很多关键细节没有交代清楚，这部片子可是有两个小时的片长啊。
2022年最优秀的国产悬疑片之一，具有文艺色彩，结局反转，《芳华》+《杀人回忆》
