The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 年少时痴迷古龙武侠，也曾见识过大陆新武侠的兴盛，谁还没有过年少轻狂心怀热血，妄想行侠仗义替天行道的时候。可以说，本片是我近些年来看过少有喜欢的武侠作品，远胜某些院线大导的圈钱垃圾
故事虽简单，但拍摄极其细腻。就是可怜了琴娘，身中13箭而死的意义没有升华
谢苗怎么看怎么像刘松仁（。服化背景乃至剧情都很有些赏心悦目的陈旧古意，部分镜头也颇有美感。打戏精彩，最后给刀火焰附魔我大喊一声好酷啊。品出一丝十三刺客的味儿，真的相当不错。唯一遗憾的是有些剧情衔接不太顺畅

非常一般，日本电影痕迹太重，动作设计平淡无奇
还不错的武侠片，虽然故事很简单
整部片有动作武侠片的感觉，泪流满面，近几年太少见了，三星半升四星，鼓励一下

安史之乱之后的时空表达很清晰。楼兰斩、挫骨手，听力，很不错了。6元值。请马伯庸来铺垫故事，就完美了。
很緊凑的片子，臺語對話太有味道了，還有羅大佑客串。雖然最後高捷那裏有點交代不明，以及一些東西靠旁白念出來顯得略微“缺乏誠意”，但是光譚志剛的表現就足以抵消這些瑕疵。
谢苗真的太缺好片拍了，可惜啊，这本子就是镖人+龙飞+浪客剑心
观感的确达到院线片的水平了，但剧情过于简单了
本片有浓浓的电影质感，如果不说是网大电影，会觉得这是标准的院线电影，看不出网大的粗糙痕迹，从始至终拍摄和制作得都很用心，比很多院线上上映的武侠片的质量度都要高。
这部电影一眼可见的瑕疵并不少，但我仍然希望未来国内可以多一些这种电影。电影的好坏与否与许多因素息息相关，但国内烂片充斥的一个重要原因是制片方根本没把观众当成一个人来对待，喜欢赚快钱的思想已经荼毒了整个商业生态，很少有人愿意认认真真制作一部商业电影，很多院线电影还真是远远比不上这部网络大电影呢。
2.最惊艳的是开酒馆的女主，第一次是活泼、天真、善良的待嫁小姑娘。第二次是被强奸后但仍然对生活充满希望，要讨一个公道的女人。第三次，当成瞎子掀开黑布后，女主如同“活死人”一样，目光呆滞，对生活和未来看不到一点希望，也让我们看到了强权的可怕。
故事很简单，深藏不露却为路见不平拔刀相助，画面处理的很好，加一颗星。
